"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports".

Today is the last day of the month.. The year has gone by soooooo fast..
We won't be doing athlete of the month this time around as it was a shorter month due to holidays and everyone has just finally got back into a solid routine but work hard in Feb as this will be the month before the open begins..

Today's workout is to raise money for the Tassie Bush Fire Appeal.. We will be asking you pay $10 to train today and all the $$$ will be donate to the cause.
Also Health and leisure have put together some prizes for the fastest male and female athlete. Times must be verified with a video. So if you are wanting to have a crack get your counter motivator to video your WOD and upload it to youtube..

The box is open from 10am till 11.30am for some open gym time so come in and do a catch up WOD or work on some olympic lifting as this event is coming up that I suggest you guys get down to..

Also guys please be sure to start logging your WOD results again.. Very few people are using BTW.. If things don't start to pick back up I will be cancelling our membership. You can still log your own WOD's manually if you wish to do so. Sorry to let those down who want to use this software but it's not worth us keeping it if no one else is using it…..

At the weekend I was lucky enough to be invited to Tyson's wedding.. Most of you know Tyson, he is one of our longest training clients. Has been with us since the PCYC and has really come a long way. He has now moved to Hobart with is wife and is doing very well down there. Anyway here he is on is special day. Very proud to have been a part of this
Use this time today to work on some Oly lifting.. The more you practice the better you'll get. Sometime doing them just once isn't enough for you to become awesome at the snatch and clean and jerk. So practice them often.
